About

LINX was initially brought on board with a design contract that allowed us to partner with the AV Consultant and CSU to verify the design, scope, and equipment to ensure that LINX would deliver a turn-key solution to the University in a compressed schedule. This required value analysis of the unique video over IP solution specifically chosen to leverage new technologies paired with tried-and-true solutions that are used and maintained across campus. Cost/benefit analysis was performed to understand relationships the University already maintained with third party VARs to provide network switches that allow equipment to be warranted under existing master service agreements as well as leverage expertise in the Universities Network group. Due to the flexibility of the building-wide video network system, LINX was able to work with stakeholders to understand their unique needs and requests and present no-cost solutions to allow for different types of cross building collaboration that was possible with the existing equipment. Finally, LINX worked simultaneously with the GC to ensure that all infrastructure requirements were accurate so they could keep on schedule.

Stakeholder Engagement: Due to the nature of a design assist/build project, LINX worked extensively with multiple levels of stakeholders from the GC, EC, VAR, Consultant, Architect, CSU IT Staff, CSU Network and Infrastructure staff, and Department Heads. This allowed us to stay ahead in our design, procurement, testing, and installation in the compressed schedule. Working hand in hand with the entire team, we were able to ensure that the AV systems were installed without defects and met campus AV standards. Even more importantly we worked to make sure the instructors, admins, and staff were trained in advance of first use so they felt confident and ready to make use of the cutting edge technology.
