Cochlear Americas

LINX partnered with BCER to design and install the Audio-Visual systems in the 161,218 square-foot renovation of Cochlear Americas headquarters located in Lone Tree, CO. 

The first floor at Cochlear boasts a high-end boardroom with switchable glass film, walls covered in floor-to-ceiling millwork and an executive dining area. LINX pained and installed the Sure MXA910s to meet the esthetics of the room. The main focal point is a 9-panel thin bezel LED video wall. 

Finally, as an ongoing goal of the partnership, Cochlear has engaged LINX’s service department for day-2 support. 

Highlights: 

1. Executive Conference room – Features a 98″ display installed on a serviceable wall mount and HDMII hookups as well as Mersive’s wireless presentation application, Solstice. 30 – Small Conference Huddle Rooms – Designed for simple ease of use presentation. 9 – Multipurpose Rooms – These rooms are capable of accommodating in-room presentations, allowing users to connect devices through a connection located in the lectern or wirelessly. The rooms are also outfitted with integrated audio-conferencing capabilities for inbound/outbound phone calls and other audio conference scenarios (such as audio call-in to conference bridges). 
2. Surgical Training Room and Lab –  Used by Cochlear’s training doctors, the room operates in a conjoined manner, wherein the lab facilitates the video support of live training occurring, by transporting microscope video feeds back to a main video switcher and then tiling those feeds into a views that allow users to see what the participants are doing.  The Lab features two displays for local video reinforcement.  The training rooms feature a video wall as the main display, as well as a video/audio-conferencing enabled room 1 – Yoga studio and gym – Four 55″ displays were installed on fixed wall mounts in the gym and yoga studios. A wireless mic system was also installed for use in group classes. Finally, Audio reinforcement is distributed through two zones – one in the Gym using two surface-mounted loudspeakers, another in the Yoga Studio using six ceiling loudspeakers and one ceiling subwoofer.
