Job Summary:         

The Service Project Manager is responsible for managing the appropriate tasks, workstreams and resources required to meet client expectations to deliver a full scope of work on budget and on time. You will manage customer service requests from start to finish for day-to-day MAC requests (Moves, Adds, Changes), as well as small project business opportunities as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Receive new work requests, verify details, set-up job numbers and create work orders
  • Procure labor, material, property COI and tools as needed for request
  • Coordinate with customer requestor, local subcontractor and any other personnel necessary to complete the request.  
  • Attend relevant meetings as assigned by customer or within LINX
  • Coordination of internal and external kickoff meetings as necessary
  • Ensure that work request is complete; validate with customer that their needs were met and ensure that all requested deliverables were received and saved for future reference and customer record keeping.
  • Collect and validate vendor invoices and any other costs. Work with accounting for a clean hand-off to process invoices.  
  • Submit invoice information to accounting and ensure that invoices make it to customer in a timely manner
  • Complete monthly financial shifter reports and ensure that costs toward each job are accurate.  
  • Take care of customer’s needs, earn their trust and gain repeat business.
  • Help maintain and update subcontractor database on an on-going basis as we enroll and vet our subcontractors to assist us with our customers at regional locations across the country.  
  • Take on small projects as they arise and learn the LINX process that Project Managers follow to deliver quality work for our customers. These opportunities can assist you in moving toward a Project Manager role if desired.  
  • Back-up LINX Project Managers as needed
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the Operations Manager
  • Seek out and participate in continuing education courses to enhance your technical skills in the construction/low voltage industry.  

Minimum Requirements 

  • One year of project management experience in a fast-paced construction environment
  • Two years experience in the commercial construction or low voltage industry
  • Minimum 2-years’ experience managing a commercial construction team
  • Ability to solve problems and manage a schedule in order to effectively manage multiple work requests daily.  
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Technical writing skills
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends and make sound recommendations 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and others.  
  • Basic working knowledge of project management related to construction projects

Preferred Experience 

  • Two-year college degree preferred.
  • PMP Certification preferred
  • Prior experience with low voltage installations in commercial buildings; base knowledge of general construction; experience reading and understanding blueprints; prior experience with networking protocols, LAN/WAN concepts, and TCP/IP networking 
  • BICSI, Technician, or Installation Certification
  • OSHA 10
  • Powder Actuated Tools Certification
  • Confined Space Certification
  • CPR and First aid certified
  • Manufacturers certifications for Installation and Maintenance
  • Lift Certified

Pay Rate: 

$75,000 – $100,000/year
