LINX is hiring a Senior Project Manager to lead the full lifecycle of our largest, most technically complex hyperscale data center programs, paying $105,000 to $145,000 a year plus bonus opportunities.
This is the top individual-contributor rung on the Project Manager ladder. You’ll own full financial and operational accountability across design-build engagements, multi-phase campus deployments, and multi-year contract programs, serve as the primary escalation point for executive-level clients (CIOs, Security Directors, Facilities Executives), and mentor the Project Managers coming up behind you.
Where This Role Fits at LINX
Technician → Lead Technician → Foreman → Superintendent → Project Manager → Senior Project Manager → Program Manager → Senior Program Manager → Director of Operations → VP of Operations
What You’ll Be Doing
Strategic Project Leadership
- Lead execution of LINX’s largest and most technically complex hyperscale projects, including design-build engagements, multi-phase campus installations, enterprise-wide system deployments, and multi-year contract programs
- Establish executive-level project governance and communication cadence, and act as the escalation point for client and internal issues
- Lead cross-functional coordination between operations, engineering, procurement, and field teams
- Resolve resource conflicts across your portfolio to protect schedule and margin, and drive proactive schedule compression planning and risk mitigation
Executive Client Engagement
- Serve as the primary interface with Security Directors, CIOs and IT Leadership, and Facilities Executives
- Lead Quarterly Business Reviews and facilitate enterprise roadmap discussions
- Confidently manage executive-level conflict and negotiation, and align project execution with broader strategic account objectives
Financial & Margin Leadership
- Own full financial performance of assigned projects and programs, driving margin expansion through cost forecasting discipline, labor efficiency oversight, procurement strategy alignment, and change order optimization
- Identify financial patterns across multiple projects, monitor backlog health, and provide leadership with forward-looking financial risk assessments
Risk Management & Contract Oversight
- Proactively review prime contract terms, liquidated damages exposure, schedule compression liability, and scope gaps or ambiguities
- Participate in bid reviews and preconstruction risk planning, and implement mitigation strategies before issues escalate
Field & Operational Leadership
- Provide executive-level field support on critical milestones, ensuring installation quality, safety compliance, and site organization
- Drive collaboration across multiple trades and subcontractors, and oversee large-scale material and logistics coordination
Organizational Impact
- Mentor Project Managers, influence process improvements across project delivery, and participate in leadership planning sessions and bid reviews
Minimum Requirements
Required
- 7+ years of progressive project management experience in high-density structured cabling deployments in hyperscale or large enterprise data centers
- Proven experience managing multi-million-dollar budgets, including regular financial reporting and forecasting to leadership
- Experience owning financial performance for assigned projects, including labor, materials, and subcontractor costs, and protecting margins by optimizing labor deployment, materials, and installation efficiency
- Experience identifying potential scope changes, change orders, and cost risks early, and implementing mitigation strategies to protect budget and margin
- Experience managing customers, vendors, and subcontractors
- Strong executive communication and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to analyze contracts and financial exposure, interpret technical specifications and drawings, identify operational and financial risk patterns, and manage multiple high-impact initiatives simultaneously
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Valid driver’s license
- Familiarity with TIA/EIA or BICSI cabling standards
Preferred
- Experience leading multi-year contract programs
- Exposure to strategic account management
- PMP certification or equivalent project management credential
- Experience mentoring junior Project Managers
This Role Is Probably Not Right For You If
- Your project management background is residential construction, or your commercial project budgets have consistently been under $1-$3 million
- You’ve only managed subcontractors and vendors and never directly managed 50+ blue collar workers as direct reports
- Your experience is limited to tracking budgets rather than owning them, or coordinating labor rather than managing it directly
- You’re not available for 30% to 75% travel depending on program needs

Bonus: Performance-based bonus opportunities available
