Minimum Requirements 

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in material management, logistics, or inventory control, preferably in the telecommunications or construction industry.  
  • Forklift experience and certification required. 
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and tools to track and manage materials. 
  • High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred. 
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling and tracking materials. 
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with project teams, suppliers, and vendors. 
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. 

Physical Requirements 

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. 
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment. 
  • Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including outdoor and warehouse settings. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Receive incoming materials and equipment, verifying quantities against purchase orders and packing lists. 
  • Organize and stage materials in designated storage areas for easy access by project teams. 
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and track material usage throughout the project duration. 
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to schedule material deliveries and resolve any issues or discrepancies. 
  • Track material shipments and update project teams on delivery schedules and potential delays. 
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to identify discrepancies and minimize material losses. 
  • Prepare material kits and packages according to project requirements, ensuring all necessary components are included. 
  • Assist project teams with material selection, procurement, and substitution as needed. 
  • Monitor material consumption rates and adjust inventory levels accordingly to minimize waste and excess inventory. 
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently. 
  • Implement and maintain organizational systems and processes to optimize material management efficiency. 
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures related to material handling and storage. 
  • Collaborate closely with project managers and other stakeholders to meet project deadlines and objectives. 

Pay Rate: 

$24.00 – $28.00/hour

Job Summary:   

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual for the role of LINX VD Site Material Manager. The Material Manager will be responsible for efficiently managing the receipt, tracking, and delivery of materials onto a designated job site, focusing on network cabling projects involving the installation of fiber and copper infrastructure. The primary tasks include receiving materials, validating quantities, staging materials, tracking shipments, organizing materials, kitting and prepping materials, and other related material management duties to support project success.
