LINX is hiring a Construction Safety Manager to lead safety compliance across hyperscale data center projects nationwide, paying $90,000 to $130,000 a year with 100% travel and all expenses covered by the company.
You’ll lead a team of 5 or more Safety Coordinators, serve as the primary safety authority inside active and new-build hyperscale environments, and build the safety programs that keep structured cabling, fiber, and containment work compliant in live, zero-downtime facilities. Projects run in major hyperscale data center markets around the country, and this role goes wherever the next build is.
Where This Role Fits at LINX
Safety Coordinator → Safety Manager → Director of Safety.
This role owns team leadership and program development across multiple sites at once and is the direct pipeline into Director of Safety as LINX’s hyperscale footprint grows.
What You’ll Be Doing
Team Leadership
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and performance oversight to a team of 5 or more Safety Coordinators
On-Site Hyperscale Safety Authority
- Serve as the primary safety authority within active and new-build hyperscale data center environments
- Oversee safety for all low voltage scopes, including structured cabling, fiber optics, containment, racks, and pathways
Program Development & Documentation
- Develop, implement, and improve hyperscale-specific safety manuals, policies, and procedures
- Create and maintain Site Specific Safety Plans (SSSP), Job Hazard Analyses (JHA), and Pre-Task Safety Analyses (PTSA)
- Maintain audit-ready documentation aligned with owner and general contractor requirements
Compliance & Incident Response
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, NEC, NFPA 70E, TIA, BICSI, and hyperscale client standards
- Conduct site audits, inspections, and corrective action tracking
- Investigate incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions, and lead root cause analysis and corrective action
Training & Safety Culture
- Deliver hyperscale-required orientations and task-specific training, including toolbox talks and ongoing safety education
- Facilitate OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 training sessions
Stakeholder Reporting
- Collaborate with hyperscale owners, general contractors, Project Managers, and subcontractors
- Track safety KPIs and submit required reports on safety trends and performance
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years of construction safety experience
- One of the following certifications: STSC (Safety Trained Supervisor for Construction), CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician), or CSP (Certified Safety Professional)
- 3+ years of safety team management experience, minimum 5 direct reports
- OSHA 500/501 certification
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction/telecom safety standards
- Experience developing and managing SSSP, JHA, and PTSA documentation

- Experience working in active, zero-downtime hyperscale environments
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Available for 100% travel to project sites nationwide (all travel expenses covered)
- Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
This Role Is Probably Not Right For You If
- You don’t have any of the required certifications including STSC, CHST or CSP – these are required by the customer
- You’ve never managed a team of safety professionals, this role leads 5 or more Safety Coordinators, not just yourself
- You’re not comfortable being on the road constantly — this is a 100% travel position with typical trips home about once a month while a project is active
Preferred (Not Required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Construction Management, or a related field
- Additional certifications such as First Aid/CPR, Confined Space, Fall Protection, or NFPA 70E
- Bilingual, English and Spanish
