Job Summary:  

The CAD Engineer will be a highly motivated, team-focused professional. This individual will be responsible managing tasks assigned to them from other members of the AV Project Engineering Team including creating shop drawings in AutoCAD that include but are not limited to, Floor Plans, Reflective Ceiling Plans, Elevations, One lines, and additional details. 

Knowledge of the construction industry and its processes is desired. Audio Visual Industry knowledge of products, their functionality, and the best practices for their installation is desired. The CAD Engineer must establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal members of the Project Engineering team through a high degree of professionalism, organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively, clearly, and in a timely manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Reviewing equipment data sheets to ensure product functionality and compatibility
  • Accurately creating new CAD blocks based off equipment specification sheets
  • Create Floor Plans, RCP’s, Elevations, One-lines, and Details
  • Put together shop drawings by creating Sheets in paper space to make a complete deliverable
  • Maintain LINX’s standards for CAD and drafting documents
  • Effectively manage multiple project tasks of different sizes and timetables
  • Maintain red-lines and as-builds in Bluebeam Studio

Minimum Requirements 

  • Relevant Technical 4-year degree or 2 years of related AV field experience
  • Intermediate to advanced computer modeling skills required, AutoCAD preferred

Preferred Experience 

  • Experience with Bluebeam and the ability to create markups
  • Good understanding of AV system signal flow and design
  • Experience installing commercial grade AV systems.
  • InfoComm CTS preferred

Pay Rate: 

$58,000 – $65,000 / year
